Gretchen Shoemaker, the heart of Georgia’s would tell you that it is the food you get when you cook with your whole heart and soul. Our dishes are the comfort foods she learned to make with her grandma, the very ones she raised her daughters on, served in her successful catering service and has shared with family and friends throughout the years.
When you taste our food, you taste the love and devotion hat makes Georgia’s Soul Delicious.
Back in 2014, Shoemaker opened her Georgia’s Restaurant in the Anaheim Packing District. Her family-owned soul food spot gathered a loyal following over the years, and now is ready to introduce a second location here at the Long Beach Exchange, the mega shopping retail development in North Long Beach. Shoemaker’s menu is a romp through traditional soul food, peppered with a taste of New Orleans, including po’ boys, beans and rice, and jambalaya. It is a solid add to LBX, who is curating a diverse group of restaurants.
