HD Expo 2019
Registration is now open for the 2019 Hospitality Design Exposition and Conference (HD Expo). A curated experience developed through the editorial lens of Hospitality Design magazine, HD Expo is a melting pot of the industry’s best and most innovative ideas and products. Taking place May 15 – 17, 2019, at the Mandalay Bay Convention Center in Las Vegas, this year’s event promises to be the most immersive yet, drawing in thousands of designers, architects, owners, operators, purchasing agents, brand executives, and other hospitality professionals for three days of interactive content and design inspiration.
“Each year, we try to continually evolve and make the show bigger and more experiential, and this year we’ve gone a step beyond the norm,” says Stacy Shoemaker Rauen, Editor in Chief of Hospitality Design magazine, and Vice President of the Hospitality Design Group. “From the new wellness pavilion on the show floor,
featuring all day programming dedicated to this growing market, to our inspirational and informational conference sessions with some of the industry’s best and rising stars discussing topics pulled from the pages of Hospitality Design magazine, we are excited for what we have in store for our attendees.”
This year’s conference highlights keynote with Andrew Zobler of the Sydell Group and 30 unique sessions with industry visionaries, including chef Stephanie Izard; Neil Jacobs, CEO of Six Senses; Aaron Richter, senior vice president of design of Equinox; Timothy Griffin, managing director, the Hoxton; and Adam Farmerie, partner of AvroKO. Several free sessions will also be held in the Social Hub, designed by Rottet Studio, and in the inaugural wellness pavilion, devoted to the effect of the rapidly growing $4.3 trillion wellness industry on hospitality. In addition, HD Expo is bringing back its signature Owners’ Roundtable, which provides attendees the unique opportunity to meet face-to-face with industry leaders from prominent brands, such as MGM Resorts, Geolo Capital, 21c Museum Hotels, Hyatt, Wyndham Worldwide, Provenance Hotels, Hersha Hospitality, Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts, and Dream Hotel Group.
Nearly 900 exhibitors are expected to be present at HD Expo 2019, with 500 exhibitors unique to the show and approximately 200 showing for the first time. With categories including lighting, fabric, wallcoverings, flooring, bath fixtures, accessories, and more. Exhibitors use HD Expo as a platform to debut new products,
connect with existing clients, and make valuable new connections.
“This is a really exciting time for hospitality products, as the industry is going through somewhat of an evolution,” said Kevin Gaffney, Group Show Director, HD Expo. “Hotel brands are shifting towards creating experiences for their guests, and that means manufacturers are developing new products that are more innovative and tech-savvy than ever before. Attendees will be very pleased with not only the exhibitor variety, but the product creativity at this year’s show.”
In 2018, 12,500 attendees marked HD Expo’s largest recorded audience to date, with this growth expected to continue in 2019. To register or learn more about HD Expo, visit www.hdexpo.com.
