The Ritz-Carlton, Laguna Niguel presents the most flavorful Friday in February at the Latin Food & Wine Experience, Friday, February 12, 2016.
Guests are invited to soak in stunning views of the Pacific Ocean from the Monarch Bay Sunset Terrace while enjoying savory cuisine and fine Latin wines.
Presented from 6 to 8 p.m., this special event and exclusive tasting is $85 per person, inclusive of tax and gratuity.
Featured wine stations include Alximia, Bodega Santo Tomas, Delgadillo Cellars, Cava Maciel, La Carrodilla, Lechuza, Robledo Family Winery, Vena Cava, and Monte Xanic.
Inspired by Raya’s Pan-Latin cuisine, Executive Chef Brian Sundeen presents a selection of tapas-style tasting dishes including Piloncillo Prawns, Sea Bass Ceviche and Braised Goat Tacos.
Throughout the evening, representatives from each of the wineries will share their stories and experiences and discuss tasting notes for their wine selection. Representatives include Alvaro Alvarez Parilla with Alximia, Jared Guiterrez with Bodega Santo Tomas, Ignacio Delgadillo, Jr. of Delgadillo Cellars, Jorge Maciel with Cava Maciel, Fernando Pérez Castro of La Carrodilla, Kristin and Adam Shute of Lechuza, Ana Maria Ceseña with Monte Xanic, Luis Robledo with Robledo Family Winery, and Phil and Eileen Gregory of Vena Cava. Wineries coordinated by Tom Bracamontes of La Competencia Imports and Michelle Martain of La Mision Wine.
