This Father’s Day, Mexican Brunch or Dinner – show your Dad how extraordinary he is by treating him to the amazing Mexican brunch at Ixcateco Grill in Chicago’s Albany Park (3402 W. Montrose Ave., Chicago; 773­-539­-5887). Named one of Chicago’s best new restaurants for 2016 by Chicago Magazine, Ixcateco Grill’s chef/owner Anselmo Ramirez has wowed many a guest with his deliciously authentic Central and Southeast Mexican fare, served in a casual, relaxing atmosphere.

Ixcateco Grill’s brunch is served from 10 a.m. until 2:30 p.m. If dinner is your preference, regular dinner hours this Father’s Day are from 5­-10 p.m. Daily specials will be offered.

Ramirez has spent years perfecting his culinary technique, having worked for 14 years with renowned chef Rick Bayless at his famed restaurants Frontera Grill and Topolobampo.

The brunch menu includes a number of appetizers including classic Guac and Chips ($6), Yogurt ($6), and Ensalada de Betabel ($7). A Roasted Beets salad with Jicama, Watercress, Goat Cheese, and Candy Pecans tossed in a Pasilla Orange dressing. The “eggstensive” entrée selection ranges from a simple Chilaquiles Verdes consisting of Crispy Corn Tortillas soaked in Salsa Loca garnished with Sour Cream and Queso Ranchero served with Black Beans ($9) to Huevos Divorciados ($12) and even their delicious Carne Asada with Fire Wood Grilled Steak accompanied by a Crispy Corn Tortilla topped with Black Beans, Fried Eggs, Molcajete Sauce, sprinkled with Crispy Ham and Queso Ranchero and a side of Guacamole ($16.50). The brunch staple, fresh squeezed orange juice ($3), will be available as well as fresh brewed coffee ($2).

Ixcateco Grill is an intimate casual Mexican restaurant featuring authentically prepared dishes from the central and southwestern regions of Mexico, by chef/owner Anselmo Ramirez. BYO is encouraged. The restaurant is located at 3402 W. Montrose in Chicago’s Albany Park neighborhood. Dinner is served from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. on Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Sunday, and from 5 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. on Friday and Saturday.
