Negroni Week for a Cause
Farmhouse at Roger’s Gardens is thrilled to participate in Negroni Week presented by Imbibe Magazine and Campari June 4 – 10, 2018. Negroni Week started in 2013 as a way to raise money for charities around the world while celebrating one of the world’s great cocktails. This year, thousands of bars and restaurants will be participating by mixing their own version of the classic Negroni for a great cause.
To put a Farmhouse spin on the Italian cocktail made from gin, vermouth, and Campari, award-winning cocktail guru, Anthony Laborin has crafted a limited edition Negroni Sbagliato that he calls The Crasher. Italian for “Incorrect Negroni”, a Negroni Sbagliato is said to be the result of a busy bartender mistakenly using sparkling wine instead of gin. A happy mistake indeed, Anthony’s rendition of the Negroni Sbagliato is made from sweet vermouth, fruit-infused Campari, and bubbles and is the perfect refreshing sip to enjoy in the lively garden setting. To satisfy all negroni tastes, the Farmhouse Whim cocktails for the week will feature a Negroni Sour with lemon, honey, sweet vermouth, fruit-infused Campari, and gin as well as a classic Negroni with sweet vermouth, Campari, and gin.

50% of the proceeds from Farmhouse negroni cocktail sales will benefit Slow Food, a grassroots organization founded in 1989 to prevent the disappearance of local food cultures and traditions, counteract the rise of fast life and combat people’s dwindling interest in the food they eat, where it comes from and how our food choices affect the world around us.
