Negroni Week Party and Competition

Inspire Artistic Minds is hosting their fifth annual Negroni Week Party and Competition on June 30, 2019. Brought to you by the OC Bartender’s Cabinet, IAM and The Blinking Owl, this event is open to the public and will celebrate all things Negroni. Six talented SoCal bartenders will prepare their signature variation of the Negroni for a judging panel of cocktail aficionados and industry leaders, and hope to take home the win (an educational scholarship of up to $1500).

The participating bartenders include Anese St. Jean of Harley, Rachel Keeney of Pie Society, Richard Henry of The Studio, Christian Zamudio of Twisted Tiki, Rafael Ramirez of Vaca and Bradley Eston of Navy Proof. This year’s judging panel includes: Jason Schiffer of the Orange County Bartender’s Cabinet and 320 Main, Gregory Nagel of OC Weekly, Megan Barton of The Blinking Owl, Ryan Autry of The Blind Pig (and 2018’s competition winner), and Maurice Chevalier of Hotaling & Co.

All in attendance at the closing event are suggested to make a $10 donation upon entry, which includes the chance to sample each Negroni variation and vote for their favorite cocktail! Campari will also have their aperol cart onsite to prepare spritzers, making this the ultimate Sunday-Funday affair. In addition, Burntzilla will be the exclusive food vendor at the event and will be serving up an extra special menu item to those in attendance. Guests will sip, smile and clink glasses throughout this celebratory event at Playground DTSA.
