The Hobbit restaurant is honored to welcome wine legend and icon Bruce Neyers – who will be featuring his wines from Neyers Vineyards with a special menu from our Executive Chef and owner, Michael Philippi.
After a stint in the U.S. Army, Bruce moved to San Francisco, where he began working for a wine importing company in 1970.
Not long after he procured a job with the famed Mayacamas Winery of Napa Valley. In 1975 Bruce was hired by a young Joe Phelps, who was just starting his own venture. After 17 years at Joseph Phelps Vineyards, Bruce left to start his namesake Neyers Vineyards, while simultaneously becoming national sales manager for the great importer, Kermit Lynch. Neyers Vineyards and Ranch is located in the Conn Valley region of Napa and produces wines with a true sense of place; with respect for soil, climate, and varietal. We are pleased to host Bruce and share his wines for what will undoubtedly be a very special evening.
Champagne and Hors d’oeuvres begin at 7:00 pm, and the bar opens one hour prior, the dinner includes special 6 course prix fixe dinner featuring Neyers wines.
