Portillo’s 54th Anniversary

Portillo’s is offering guests a sweet treat in celebration of the brand’s 54^th anniversary. On Thursday, April 6, customers can purchase a slice of Portillo’s Famous Chocolate Cake for just 54-cents. The double-layer cakes are baked fresh every morning, before being frosted with chocolate icing.

Originally founded in Villa Park, IL in 1963, Portillo’s great from one humble “Dog House” to 47 restaurants across several states.

“We would not be here without two important ingredients – our founder, Dick Portillo, and our devoted fans across the United States,” said CEO Keith Kinsey. “The Portillo’s team looks forward to celebrating this milestone with our customers.”
