Chef Maxmilian Schlutz of Sessions West Coast Deli is known for creating award-winning sandwiches, and he will be joining us to share a few winning recipes that will change the way you tailgate, just in time for Opening Day of baseball. As the Culinary Director of Sessions in Newport Beach and Huntington Beach, Chef Max has created an extremely eclectic menu that has garnered him great attention, including being the reigning titleholder of “Best Sandwich in Orange County” by the Orange County Register. For this demo, he will be joined by Chef Thomas Curran, who is a local expert on house-cured, smoked and hand-made sausages and bacon. As a graduate of Paris’s famed Le Cordon Bleu and an honors graduate of the Scottsdale Culinary Institute, Chef Tom is a professionally trained chef with broad experience in the culinary arts and a passion and talent for teaching. During this demonstration, Chef Tom will detail the steps involved in making bratwurst and then Chef Max will teach you how to transform those ingredients into a well-composed, dynamic sandwich. Recipes to include: Shandy, Bratwurst, Giardiniera, Traditional Grainy Mustard, Ginger-Curry Mustard. For more information on Sessions West Coast Deli, visit sessionswcd.com. Recipes and samples will be provided. Reservations will not be taken for this event so please arrive early, as seating is limited.
