Just in time for Valentine’s, The Cellar is privileged to have received a small allocation of Napa Valley Promise 2010 Cabernet Sauvignon, one of the most highly sought after wines available! Easily recognized by its minimalist black label with namesake and promise ring insignia, this seventh edition was allowed to sit quietly in Darjanou and Taransaud barrels until September 2013, and has been bottle-aged since. The vintage carries on the tradition of deep concentrated wines with seamless complexity.Boasting a darkmidnightpurple core, enveloped by opaque magenta rims, this Cabernet bursts with warm allspice and cedar aromas, complementing the sweet scents of freshly baked blackberry pie, and the savory notes of freshly roasted coffee. The concentrated layers of crème de cassis, chocolate and licorice, explodes upon tasting, echoed by hints of pepper and coconut. The well-integrated tannins are exceptionally rich, round and silky, leaving a lasting impression on the palate.
