Kenefick is a name that you may not be familiar with (I wasn’t). However, I bet you’ve heard of some of the people they sell grapes to: Caymus, Etude, L’Angevin, Merryvale, Raymond and more.
When I tasted these wines I was struck by how full bodied they were while still being balanced and perfectly suited for food pairing. When Chef Kate tasted them, well, lets just say her imagination went wild. Yup, that’s correct, we are serving scallops with Cabernet Sauvignon. When she suggested it, I was about to use my veto when she dashed off to prepare a scallop the way she envisioned it. Guess what, as much as I tried to find a flaw with this combination, it just worked!
