Marina Kitchen, located in the Marriott Marquis San Diego Marina celebrates Wine Wednesdays with Certified Sommelier, Wendy Shoemaker. Shoemaker will lead attendees through an educational journey that explores wine regions, pairings, and the next big thing in wine. The wine education series explores a different wine topic each week.

Priced at $20 per person, only 12 seats are available for each class. In addition to the educational component and wine tasting, attendees receive $10 off towards dinner at Marina Kitchen, to be redeemed the evening of the class, as well as 50 percent off a bottle of wine, not to exceed $50. Throughout the month of May, Wine Wednesdays with Wendy Shoemaker will be held from 6:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. on the following days:

Wednesday, May 6: California Classics – This class explores the magnificence of California and its beloved wine regions. Attendees taste the difference between California’s signature, Zins, Cabs, Pinots, Chardonnays and more!
Wednesday, May 13: Mother Of All Inspiration… Burgundy – A tasting of wines from Burgundy, of the world’s oldest and most historic winegrowing regions. This tasting unveils the region’s Pinot Noirs, Chardonnays and the famous villages and vineyards they call home.
Wednesday, May 20: Noteworthy Napa – In a journey to discover the perfect Napa Valley Cabernet, wine enthusiasts embark on a tasting of the area’s two mountain regions and over a dozen sub-regions.
Wednesday, May 27: Scintillating Summer – Wine Wednesday kicks off the summer with a tasting devoted to the best wines to enjoy throughout the season.

Participants in a Wine Wednesday event must be 21 year-old and reservations are required. To reserve a seat, call 619-234-1500. Additional 2015 themes will be announced throughout the year.
