The Crack Shack might not take themselves very seriously, but the same cannot be said for their ingredients. While the prices may seem high to some, their profit margin is lower than the profit margin enjoyed by most fast casual and high-end restaurants. Their goal is to provide our customers with the highest quality possible. Many factory farms do sell “organic” and “cage-free” chicken at prices far less than we pay. However, factory farms have influenced industry oversight and lowered standards, making these terms less meaningful. The way The Crack Shack sees it, it is far more important that birds be raised cruelty-free and have room to be birds. They feel the same way about eggs. Their largest egg supplier is Eben-Haezer. These are among the top-rated eggs in the country and have less cholesterol, less saturated fat, more Vitamin A, more omega-3 fatty acids, and higher levels of Vitamin E and beta-carotene. The Shack understands that many people may not want to talk about ingredients when they go out to eat, but they want you to know that they are doing their best to give you and your family the best.
