After closing the doors to the Irvine location and leaving the space Prego had called home for more than 30 years, Prego restaurant is now located at The District at Tustin Legacy. Now with a larger bar area and renovated private event space. Prego's ambiance blends the warmth & rustic charm of old-world Italy with the electricity and vibrancy of a cosmopolitan restaurant. Lively exhibition kitchens allow diners to view the artful chefs creating delicious dishes. The restaurant seats up to 300 guests and has several small scale options, too. Prego features a full bar & offers private events & catering services.

Ugo Allesina, Executive Chef & Partner of Prego Ristorante, brings more than 25 years of experience to his position. Born and raised in the region of Piemonte, Italy, his experience at a number of prestigious hotels and restaurants in Italy, Germany and the United States has enabled him to develop his outstanding skills as a premiere Chef of Northern Italian cuisine.

Chef Ugo Allesina continues to lead the culinary team at the new restaurant. With two decades of experience at Prego, Chef Ugo is excited to bring back signature items and build on the menu with the Mediterranean in mind. The kitchen will continue to focus on utilizing seasonal ingredients, the best meat and seafood, and freshly made pastas.

Husband-and-wife team Tony and Ruth Bedi, took ownership of Irvine's Prego Ristorante in an effort to return the restaurant to its original status as a top restaurant in Orange County.
