Husband-and-wife team, Chef Noah and Marín von Blöm, reopened the doors to The Guild Club on Friday, October 4th at Costa Mesa’s South Coast Collection (3321 Hyland Avenue, Suite G). This sophisticated space located next to acclaimed sister restaurant, ARC, first opened in 2017 as a reservation-only concept by the von Blöms’ DirtySexyHappiness Hospitality Group.
The Guild Club uniquely combines simplicity and stunning details to create the ultimate sophistication. New cocktails focus on classics that are made from scratch using rare and superior spirits and technique. Stylistically traditional European beers and a crafted wine list are meant to complement Chef Noah’s limited menu of classic offerings.
“Times change, and with it, the needs of our guests change too,” explained Marin, who designed the space to be refined, yet a bit whimsical. “The Guild Club will now be open to the public and still focus on our guests needs and desires by presenting a unique ambiance, along with cocktails and food offerings that differ from those that can be found at ARC.”
The Guild Club’s cocktail menu offers the von Bloms’ take on the classics, named after those who enjoyed them. Guests will be able to sip on Kennedy, a daiquiri featuring El Dorado 21 Year Rum; Czar, featuring Russian Beluga Vodka; or Girlfriend, which changes from day to day.
The 1,000-square-foot restaurant, which can now be accessed directly from the SoCo center plaza, presents an intimate dining experience, complete with bar and table seating. Designed entirely by Marin von Blom, The Guild Club features an exaggerated, almost theatrical glimpse into late 19th century fine dining with rich woodwork and wingback chairs.
The Guild Club opened Friday, October 4, 2019. The restaurant will be open daily from 5 p.m. to 2 a.m. For more information, visit www.theguildclub.com.
