The continued expansion of the TAPS brand is underway in east Yorba Linda in the form of a new model: TAPS Brewery + Kitchen. This model is a hybrid of sorts between two successful brand models, TAPS Fish House & Brewery and TAPS Brewery & Barrel Room, and will feature everything that makes both concepts so popular in a smaller and more intimate space. Anticipated opening May of 2020.
Taps Brewery + Kitchen, Yorba Linda
Location: Previously was Round Table Pizza, Esther’s Tacos and most recently, Yorba Cantina. 23741 La Palma Ave., Yorba Linda, in the Bryant Ranch Center.
Square footage: 4,200, with 200 seats.
Concept: A satellite tasting room/taproom inspired by Taps Brewery & Barrel Room in Tustin, but with a more comprehensive menu in a small, comfortable, relaxed, family-friendly setting. This is a taproom with a limited menu that is specifically geared toward the community of East Yorba Linda by combining Taps with Alondra’s and focusing on high demand for takeout in that area. A “Taps light” model.
The look: Two concepts will fit in the shared space, Alondra’s Hot Wings and Taps Brewery + Kitchen. An island bar will be created in the center of the new space which shares a kitchen. The decor will have a sleek, contemporary feel.
The menu: A neighborhood and family-friendly bar and grill. The menu will have some Taps Fish House & Brewery classics such as fish and chips, blackened fish tacos and clam chowder. The most popular items from Taps Brewery & Barrel Room will be served too: Bavarian pretzel, Electric Taco, Royale Burger with Cheese. The Alondra’s side of the space will offer pizzas, hot wing creations, and its signature Alondra’s Cheese Balls and handmade onion rings.
The drinks: Full bar, wine, and 16 taps.
