Chefs Florent and Amelia Marneau are ready to open the doors of their longtime French bistro next week with new outdoor seating and an abbreviated menu & hours. Guests will be welcomed back into – and outside of – Marché Moderne beginning Thursday, June 4th.
A new outdoor café-style dining area has been added directly in front of the restaurant with several tables and umbrellas to allow for more socially-distanced, open-air guest seating. All CDC guidelines will be followed, including increased sanitation throughout the restaurant, masked waitstaff, and reduced seating capacity inside.
“It’s going to feel like welcoming old friends into our home again and we’re really looking forward to seeing everyone – from our close-knit team to all of our valued guests,” said chef-owner Florent Marneau.
Adds Amelia Marneau: “It’s going to be a little different than business as usual but we will do our best to deliver not just a delicious meal but a warm and memorable dining experience. I think we’ve all missed that.”
The restaurant will ease into fully re-opening with an abbreviated schedule the first week to allow for any adjustments and fine-tuning of operations. The hours of operation will be 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. Thursday, June 4th to Sunday, June 7th. The restaurant will be closed Monday and Tuesday with dinner service resuming five (5) days a week Wednesday through Sunday.
Reservations will be accepted as early as 2 p.m. Friday, May 29th. Only 80 to 100 reservations can be accommodated per evening, roughly 50-percent of the restaurant’s capacity.
To start, a limited a la carte menu will be offered in addition to a 4-course prix-fixe menu. Curbside Takeout will remain available. Orders can be placed starting at 2 p.m. Wednesday through Sunday for same-day pick-up from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Spontané Menu and Brunch service will be on hold until further notice.
