4th Street Market Soft Re-Opening and Looking Ahead

4th Street Market Ryan Chase

As of June 3, 2020, 4th Street Market will be in their soft re-opening phase, offering a number of signature items from some of their most popular tenants.

Starting June 3, 4SM’s hours will be 11 am – 8 pm Sunday, and 11 am – 9 pm Thursday-Saturday. Reminder that this is a soft re-opening of the overall facility and hours are subject to change, and some vendor’s hours may vary.

With this reopening, the 4th Street Market team will also be implementing numerous health and safety measures, such as extra cleaning, public exterior-facing doors to minimize touching, separating tables (including cutting all the large patio tables in half), requiring both employees and customers to wear face coverings while indoors, public-facing hand sanitizing stations, and more.

“We are excited about the revamp of the market; it’s been five years since we opened so we decided it was time to make some changes and freshen some things up. The area has grown a lot, both East End and Downtown as a whole, and so has the realm of food and retail, so we wanted to continue to transform with it. In addition, we are looking forward to the completion of 24 apartment units directly above 4th St Market (a few months out), the proposed $100 million apartment project across the street, the East End Skatepark, the upcoming OC Streetcar, and many other community projects in the works,” says Ryan Chase, Owner/Founder of 4th Street Market.

Aside from being a family-friendly and ever-evolving dining destination, visiting 4SM provides its guests with a true urban experience. With one of the only four Stussy Archive stores in the US right across the street, to The Frida Cinema (the only true independent theater in OC) just a few doors down, and dozens of murals throughout the area, this food hall is surrounded by culture and creativity.

For those who are not yet comfortable visiting or spending time dining in at 4th Street Market, these vendors are continuing to offer curbside and/or take-out services, and are grateful for the support of the community.

In addition to the culinary offerings, the food hall used this time to rebrand the entire market, from the interior walls, key signage, and branding to the award-winning patio, every element of 4SM has been touched and given new life. Expect new photo-worthy garden walls, graphic murals, idyllic seating, and more.

Save the date for 4th Street Market’s Grand Re-Opening on July 11, 2020! The entire 4SM family has worked diligently to create a new and improved reality for their business and look forward to opening their doors to the public.
