After completing her studies at the University of Vermont, April moved to New York City and began planning events for clients such as BetseyJohnson, Karim Rashid and Jamison Ernst/Yellow Fever, along with creating marketingand promotional events for publications such as GQ, Details, W Magazine, Nylon, andPenthouse. She also worked closely with the Maritime Hotel to book events for theirnow legendary Hiro and Hiro Ballroom venues.

In 2005, the owners of the historic dance club Avalon in Hollywood, California relocatedApril to Los Angeles where she spearheaded the special events team for Avalon, its VIPhideaway Spider Club, and restaurant Honey.

April then became the Director of Special Events for Eden, MyStudio, Crimson, East,Mood, and MyHouse when David Judaken, of Syndicate Hospitality, tapped her talentsfor his burgeoning nightclub empire. She was responsible for booking and producing allspecial events at these venues from movie premiere parties, celebrity product launches,and Hollywood industry events.

DNA Events, Inc. was formed in July 2011 and has since become the fastest growingevent production company in Los Angeles.

Cucumber & Sage Gin Martini

Cucumber & Sage Gin Martini taste great. From dinner recipes, budget menus and healthy diet selections, you’ll easily find any recipe you need.

Ingredients:

2 oz Hendricks Gin
1/2 oz Simple Syrup
2 Sage leaves
7 – 1/2 inch Diced Cucumbers (peeled)
1/4 oz Lemon Juice
Garnish with a Sage Leaf

Directions:

  1. Muddle cucumbers, sage leaves in simple syrup
  2. Add Hendricks Gin and lemon juice with ice and shake
  3. Strain into chilled martini glass. Add Garnish.
