Eye of newt and toe of frog? Instead of looking to Shakespeare for a witches’ brew, we asked top NJ mixologists for their favorite Halloween-inspired potions. This one is courtesy of Ho-Ho-Kus Inn & Tavern, located in Ho-Ho-Kus, NJ

Ingredients:

1.5 oz Appleton Signature Blend rum
.5 oz simple syrup
1.5 oz apple cider
1.5 oz ginger beer, chilled
Lime and apple slices for garnish

Directions:

1. Shake with ice, drain and pour into glass.
2. Garnish with lime wedge and slice of apple.
