ACF Texas Panhandle Chefs de Cuisine Chapter Wins Contest

A recipe for Crispy Lamb Won Tons with Cranberry Salsa from the ACF Texas Panhandle Chefs de Cuisine chapter was selected as the winning recipe in the Ground American Lamb recipe contest, sponsored by the American Lamb Board in partnership with the American Culinary Federation, Inc. (ACF). The Lubbock, Texas-based chapter received a $2,000 prize from the American Lamb Board.

ACF chapters that participated in the “American Lamb for the Ground Up” education program were invited to submit original ground American Lamb recipes for the contest.

Recipe submissions were judged on recipe format, composition and clarity as well as cooking method, presentation and creative use of American Lamb. The recipes were judged by American Culinary Federation National President Thomas Macrina, CEC, CCA, AAC; Michel Bouit, CEC, AAC; and American Lamb Board Executive Director Megan Wortman.
