Franchisors and Franchisees to Visit Capitol Hill

washingtonFranchisors, Franchisees to Visit Capitol Hill, Discuss Union-Backed Threats to the Future of Franchising

Franchisors and franchisees from across the U.S. will visit Capitol Hill this week to discuss union-backed attacks on the franchise model with lawmakers. These include a recent recommendation from the National Labor Relations Board’s (NLRB) Division of Advice that McDonald’s should be declared a joint employer with its franchisees. Their visits will be part of the International Franchise Association’s (IFA) annual fly-in and Public Affairs Conference. Pairs of franchisors and franchisees will beavailable throughout the two-day conference to discuss the serious policies they will be raising with legislators and the importance of franchising to the U.S. economy.
