May is already here, and for the next few months, the heat is on! Genji Sushi, in response to rising temperatures and cravings for bright and fresh flavors, has brought back their Mango Fresh Rolls to165+ Whole Foods Marketsnationwide.
The punchy sweetness of ripe mangos perfectly compliments all of the Fresh Roll options. For a light alternative to traditional sushi, look to the Salmon or Tuna Mango Fresh Roll, which star sliced salmon or tuna, crystal rice noodles, crisp julienned vegetables, and topped with pickled mango.
For a fish-free option, the Vegetable Fresh Roll combines creamy avocado, cabbage, slivered carrot, and cucumber. All rolls are served alongside Genji’s Southeast Asian Peanut Chili Sauce, bringing an earthy richness to the fresh flavors.
Genji’s corporate chef Takao Iinuma, protege of Iron Chef Masaharu Morimoto, is particularly excited about bringing back one of his favorite ingredients, and hopes customers will enjoy them as much as he does. Be it poolside or at your desk, dining al fresco on a picnic blanket or in your car on the go, these rolls make the perfect light meal or snack whatever the occasion.
