The latest seasonal is named for the Peerless Saloon that John Cassou ran in downtown Anaheim pre-Prohibition.
It was just up the street from Anaheim Brewery, on the northeast corner of what’s now Anaheim Boulevard and Lincoln Avenue.
Peerless Porter is a rich, dark brown ale with a tan head. It’s highly aromatic and well-balanced, with hints of roasted coffee and caramel, and a dry, slightly acidic finish. It’s limited production so get over there and give it a try.
