To celebrate the launch of the Jordan Rivals footwear and apparel collection, Foot Locker has put its own twist on rivalries by opening a pop-up restaurant inside its LA flagship at Hollywood & Highland. Dubbed “Rivals Café,” the store will open a pick-up window serving iconic sandwiches and hot dogs from the storied culinary histories of Los Angeles and Chicago. Rivals Café, powered by FoodBeast, will be available to Foot Locker customers purchasing pieces from the Jordan Rivals line – a collection inspired by Michael Jordan’s most notable basketball rivals featuring bold colorways and a retro style.
The LA vs. CHI menu includes the following items:
- LA Dirty Dog:bacon wrapped, grilled onions/peppers, charred jalapeño, mayo/mustard/ketchup
- The Chicago Dog: poppyseed bun, mustard-only, ultra-green relish, tomato slice, dill pickle spear, chopped white onions
- The LA French Dip:roast beef atop a French roll, served with a side of beef broth, optional Swiss cheese and onions
- The Chicago Italian Beef:simmered & dipped beef atop an Italian roll, hot giardineria, sweet peppers
Both the Rivals Cafe pop-up and the new Jordan Rivals Collection are inspired by Michael Jordan’s rivals throughout his career across Los Angeles, Detroit, New York and more.
Anyone who purchases any piece of the Jordan Rivals line will receive a FREE LA or CHI menu of their choice.
The Rivals Café will be open for two weekends, Thursday-Sunday, starting October 24th – 27th and again October 31st – November 3rd. Hours of operation are 5-9 PM Thursday-Saturday and 3-7 PM on Sundays.
