OC Wine Cruise Relaunches Wyland Wines

The OC Wine Cruise and The Organic Cellar have partnered to bring OC Wine Cruise guests a new selection of fine imported organic wines this fall, including, Grigio and Nero d’Avola wines featuring the distinctively designed Wyland label, and an organic Cava, an exceptional sparkling wine from Spain.

Since it’s inception in 2011, OC Wine Cruise has been the exclusive wine tasting cruise to carry organic wines featuring Wyland artwork of the endangered “Caretta” Loggerhead Turtle, native to Sicily. Two years ago, when the wine from that region became no longer available, Brian Cuddy, The Organic Cellar owner, began the quest for the perfect grape. The new wine must be from a small, Sicilian organic vineyard near the protected beach that is home to the beloved turtle. It was a quest that has yielded delicious and heartfelt results, as for centuries, the turtle has been an image of natural heritage and strength for the Italian people of this region.

According to Brian Cuddy, The Organic Cellar owner, “All of these new, innovative wines will be added to the existing wine tasting selection, and available on the OC Wine Cruise in late November.”

“We enjoy sharing our passion for great organic wine with OC Wine Cruise guests. The wines we carefully select are made with Certified Organic grapes, low sulfites, and farmed without pesticides, herbicides and fungicides or added chemicals.”

Artist Wyland said, “Wine and art have always gone together. We’ve worked with The Organic Cellar for years as they share our interest in organics and the health of our planet, for me, it’s the perfect combination.”

The OC Wine Cruise offers four samplings of organic wines and departs Dana Wharf in the early evening every Friday and Sunday year-round. Guests board the distinctive luxury 63’ catamaran OCean Adventures and cruise the calm waters of the Dana Point Harbor for 90-minutes, while tasting fine organic wines poured by experienced wine hosts with a complimentary array of cheese, crackers, fresh fruit and nuts. As an added bonus, guests are also entered into a raffle to win a bottle of their favorite wine (from the tasting) during the cruise, and each guest receives a $20 coupon that can be used on their next OC Wine Cruise visit.

Additionally, private charter excursions of the OC Wine Cruise are available during the week and on Saturdays. Donna Kalez, General Manager of Dana Wharf Sportfishing & Whale Watching, (OC Wine Cruise’s parent company), said, “People join our cruise for date night, girls night out, and even the occasional wedding proposal. However, guests don’t need a special occasion to come aboard and experience the 360-degree views, magnificent sunsets, fantastic wine tasting, and an atmosphere of fun, with contemporary music and camaraderie. Dana Point Harbor is our passion, and this cruise gives us an opportunity to share this coastal gem with locals and visitors alike.”

About the OC Wine Cruise: It is part of the Dana Wharf Sportfishing & Whale Watching company. It is dedicated to helping locals and visitors alike enjoy the unique wonders of Dana Point Harbor and the Orange County coastline through a wide variety of public and charter harbor and ocean excursions.
