Mutt’s, the sister concept of Mutt Lynch’s, will open its doors in Newport Beach’s Eastbluff Village Center on Monday, April 29. Owned by husband-and-wife locals Alex and Meghan Murray, Mutt’s will serve as a central gathering place for the community, serving breakfast, lunch, and dinner in a family-friendly, convivial atmosphere.
The Mutt’s menu focuses on approachable American eclectic dishes including favorites from Mutt Lynch’s like Pterodactyl Wings and made-to-order pizzas. Guests can look forward to enjoying a diverse menu featuring Charcuterie Boards, Steak Frites, and authentic Mexican food with house-made tortillas. The new concept also upgrades its beverage program with a full liquor license focusing on a craft cocktail menu highlighting spirits from artisan distilleries across the United States.
“The timing could not be more perfect. After a year of pivoting, conceptualizing, and building the space, we’re finally ready to open,” comments co-owner Meghan Murray, daughter of Mutt Lynch’s founders Gail and Dan Lynch. “As residents of Eastbluff with a growing family of our own, we’re proud to call this place home, and we couldn’t be more excited to open a restaurant that embraces our community.”
At 2675 square feet, the restaurant offers plenty of indoor seating and a spacious patio. It’s inviting vibe and at-home atmosphere are brought to life through furniture, art, and decor custom made in-house. Mutt’s exudes the same character and charm as its sister concept, Mutt Lynch’s, but through a refined, family-friendly environment. The space is brought to life with classic Americana decor, repurposed retro furnishings, and several “Schoon-deliers”- chandeliers made of Schooners, the 32oz goblet that has become synonymous with the Mutt Lynch’s brand.
True to its ethos of celebrating small towns across the United States, Mutt’s is dedicated to supporting made-in-the-USA products, including beers, wines, paper goods, and merchandise. Its flagship location and business model will serve as a prototype for all future locations.
As owner of Mutt’s and partner at Brillstein Entertainment Partners, one of the largest talent management and television production companies, Alex Murray’s career has taken him throughout America. His travels throughout the country have created a roadmap on how he plans to expand the brand.
“With Mutt’s, we want to continue to build upon the success and ethos of Mutt Lynch’s by celebrating what gives America character – its small towns and communities,” comments Alex Murray. “Mutt’s is a place where we can create memories with our children while reminiscing about and reveling in what makes our town great. Beginning with our hometown in Newport Beach, each Mutt’s location will celebrate its respective community with distinct decor and menu items that reflect unique elements of the town and its history.”
Mutt’s is located in the Eastbluff Village Center (2531 Eastbluff Dr, Newport Beach, CA 92660) and will be open 365 days a year from 8 a.m. – midnight for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. For more information, visit mutt-usa.com
