PATINA CATERING CELEBRATES THE 70TH EMMY AWARDS GOVERNORS BALL WITH THE MOST EXTENSIVE MENU YET

Patina Catering is honored to announce its return as the official caterer of the Television Academy’s exclusive Emmy® after-party celebrations: the Governors Ball on Monday, September 17, immediately following the 70th Emmy Awards telecast; and the Creative Arts Governors Ball events on Saturday, September 8, and Sunday, September 9. Legendary Chef and Patina Restaurant Group Founder Joachim Splichal, Vice President of Culinary Gregg Wiele, Patina Catering Executive Chef Alec Lestr, and Patina Catering Executive Pastry Chef Frania Mendivil create a menu of more than 35 different fine-dining small plates inspired by celebrated favorites from Michelin-starred restaurant Patina and the fabled Nick + Stef’s Steakhouse, along with a lavish mélange of reinterpreted classic dishes and desserts. Each dish showcases peak-season produce, while exemplifying masterful culinary craft and delivering exquisite flavor.

Menu highlights include Patina Spuds topped with shaved summer truffles; Brown Butter Gnocchi; Hand-Carved Flat Iron Steak with red wine bordelaise; Cave-Aged Mini Gruyere Popovers; Nashville Hot Fried Chicken Sliders with dill pickle and savory purple cabbage slaw; Angus Beef Sliders with aged cheddar, caramelized onions, and tomato aioli; Filipino BBQ Chicken Skewers with scallion salad and banana ketchup; Gooey Grilled Cheese with heirloom tomato soup; and Olive Oil Poached Salmon with lime soya onions, puffed wild rice, and soft herbs; among many other dishes.

New and noteworthy on the menu this year, an eclectic assortment of vegetarian and vegan items including Cashew Ceviche with lime-marinated cashew, hearts of palm, cucumber, leche de tigre, avocado mousse, and crispy blue corn; Sweet Corn Agnolotti with lime brown butter and toasted hazelnuts; Truffle-Scented French Fries; and a Farmers’ Market Edible Garden of five salads that spotlight locally sourced best-of-the-season produce, such as Valdivia Farms heirloom tomatoes.

Dessert stations present a decadent array of confections and pastries from a quartet of Patina classics—Hazelnut Chocolate Feuilletine, Chocolate Rocher, Strawberry Rhubarb Tart, and Chocolate Bread Pudding—to mini globes of Harry’s Berries Strawberry Shortcake and vegan Coconut Chia Seed Tapioca.
