Sonya Kelsen, co-owner of Colony Wine Merchant and Promenade Pub, shared a message announcing some news:
We are excited to announce the passing of the Promenade Pub torch to a young talented chef and his family. His name is Nidal and he has worked under Michelin star chefs in San Francisco and most recently as an instructor for Sur La Table in Orange County. He loves the Promenade Pub concept as well as the new energy and sense of community in downtown Anaheim. Mike and I could not think of anyone better to raise the baby that we birthed.
As owners and staff members of Colony Wine Merchant we will continue to consider Promenade Pub as part of our family and will continue to promote it to our guests. Nidal is keeping our staff and concept as is as he loves the local focus. We can only imagine the creative additions he will make in the future with his time and talent. Mike will be working with him for the first three weeks to introduce him to our community, vendors, recipes etc, After that you will see us there as patrons.
The weekend of Dec 22-23 marked our last weekend at the PUB as owners as we are closing the PUB and Colony for our holiday break Dec 24th – Jan 3rd. We hope you will join us in welcoming Nidal in the new year.
