Senate Can’t Go Home Without a Plan

Last night, the Independent Restaurant Coalition’s movement took another leap forward: the House passed the revised HEROES Act, which includes the $120 billion revitalization fund we’ve been fighting for that will help save our industry. They are grateful to Speaker Pelosi, Congressman Earl Blumenauer (D-OR 3) and Congressman Brian Fitzpatrick (R-PA 1) who led the effort.

Now it’s up to the Senate to take action. They’re scheduled to be in D.C. for another week before returning home for the rest of the month. These few days are going to make all the difference — which is why IRC need to do everything they can to urge the Senate to provide relief for America’s 500,000 independent restaurants and bars and protect the 11 million people we employ. Here’s how you can help:

IRC can’t let the Senate go out of town while we go out of business. This fight has been long and incredibly difficult but now is not the time to give up. They’v defied the odds since the beginning, getting closer to the goal every day, and won’t stop working until the industry is saved.
