The Fast Casual Seafood Brand Continues Franchise Expansion In Its Home State
Slapfish, a Huntington Beach-based Chef-driven fast-casual seafood restaurant with an emphasis on serving fresh, sustainable dishes, has announced the signing of a multi-unit franchise deal to focus on Southern California.
Slapfish is expanding through a partnership with Fransmart, the franchise development company behind the explosive growth of brands like Five Guys Burgers and Fries and Qdoba Mexican Grill. The franchisee, Doug Pham, worked with Fransmart VP of Sales, Al Rowe, and Director of Development, Cam Le, on the agreement.
Pham’s development deal is for a total of 3 new stores, with the first location planned for Brea. He has also reserved the areas of Corona del Mar and Irvine Spectrum for future Slapfish development.
Since opening its first restaurant location in 2012, Slapfish has created a distinct brand that revolves around “boat-to-plate” cuisine in a casual, relaxed setting. The brand is expanding in 2015 through upcoming franchise and corporate locations, and has signed additional franchise deals for Orange County, CA, and LAX and BWI Airports, as well as an international deal for the entire Middle East.
