Social Restaurant Group partners, Andrew and Raquel Dorsey and Chronic Tacos co-founder Dan Biello, known for lively approachable hotspot, SOCIAL Costa Mesa, are pleased to announce that the brand’s second concept is set to open in Huntington Beach in July 2019. Having acquired the location once occupied by SeaSalt Woodfire Grill at 21214 Beach Boulevard, SOCIAL Huntington Beach will welcome back Jeffrey Boullt as Corporate Executive Chef.
SOCIAL Restaurant Group’s newest location in Huntington Beach is nearing grand opening, set for late July 2019. As SOCIAL Huntington Beach prepares to open doors, the culinary and bar teams have developed a fresh lineup of weekly food and beverage happenings as well as late-night bites to complement the coastal cuisine menu.
Tuesday through Sunday at SOCIAL Huntington Beach will present a full schedule of foodie events. Taco Tuesday will kick off the week with three-dollar tacos highlighting interesting flavor combinations and housemade tortillas. Break up the week every Wednesday with happy hour all night long featuring seven-dollar food and drink offerings. King crab legs will have guests eating like royalty each Thursday at SOCIAL Huntington Beach. Kick off the weekend Friday nights while enjoying the one-pound Wagyu Prime Ribeye, and brunch in style while indulging in bottomless mimosas served Saturday and Sunday. Wrap up the perfect SoCal weekend with Fried Chicken Supper each Sunday evening.
Owned and operated by partners Andrew and Raquel Dorsey and Chronic Tacos co-founder Dan Biello, SOCIAL Huntington Beach welcomes back Jeffrey Boullt as Corporate Executive Chef. A Huntington Beach native, Boullt strives to bring his hometown community a local spot to be proud of. “I want our guests to feel like they’re hanging out at a really amazing beach bonfire,” says Boullt. “We’ll serve elevated versions of familiar and coastal cuisine to complement our fun and relaxed, beach-inspired setting.”
Blake Brissette-Mathias will join SOCIAL Huntington Beach as General Manager. Blake comes from Shorebreak Resort where he was Director of Food and Beverage before starting his own food, beverage and hospitality consulting firm, 3PeersLLC, with partners, Casey Lyons, Matthew Watkins and Wyatt Lash. Lash will act as the Huntington Beach location’s Executive Chef under Jeffrey Boullt and comes to SOCIAL from Pacific Hideaway where he was also Executive Chef.
Designed by Costa Mesa based firm, Haus of Design, the interior of the restaurant has been completely reimagined with a bright and airy feel. Natural light will spill into the space and greenery will billow from SOCIAL’s signature living chandelier floating above the roomy, centralized bar.
“Andrew and Raquel Dorsey had the vision of a group-friendly, Boho-chic space with a lively and welcoming atmosphere,” says Nicole Perrault, Principal at Haus of Design. “We expanded on their vision and brought it to life.”
Inspired by the idea of dining as a social experience, SOCIAL Restaurant Group aims to make their restaurants accessible to larger groups and ideal for picture-perfect photo moments while encouraging interaction between patrons. With open concepts and large, group tables available, the idea of community and camaraderie is at the core of each decision made.
Guests can choose to dine inside or out on the sprawling outdoor patio with access to a pass-through bar window. No beach bonfire is complete without a proper fire pit and the appropriate group lawn games like cornhole, giant Jenga and more.
