Taxpayers’ Bill of Rights Meeting Invitation

559

“I am pleased to invite you to participate in the annual Taxpayers’ Bill of Rights public meeting at the California Department of Tax and Fee Administration (CDTFA).

This year, the Taxpayers’ Bill of Rights meeting will be held at approximately 9:30 a.m. on Thursday, August 13, 2020. In the interest of public health, this year’s meeting will be conducted virtually, on Microsoft Teams.

The Taxpayers’ Bill of Rights meeting is an opportunity to express ideas, voice concerns, and offer suggestions, either verbally or in writing. You may present your proposals for changes to tax or fee laws or to our policies and procedures, including any that may improve voluntary taxpayer compliance and the relationship between citizens and the state government team members who serve them.

Please visit our website at www.cdtfa.ca.gov/tra to learn more about the role of the Taxpayers’ Rights Advocate Office and about the rights provided by the Taxpayers’ Bill of Rights.

To request an invitation, please email [email protected] prior to August 1, 2020, with your name and email address. Your invitation will include instructions on accessing Microsoft Teams.

If you would like the opportunity to speak at this meeting or if you have questions about the meeting or Microsoft Teams, please contact my office toll-free, at 1.888.324.2798 or by email at [email protected].”

Sincerely,
William J. Hain
Taxpayers’ Rights Advocate
