Reef technology, offers $1,500 a month to lease six parking spaces at properties where they are able to park a “Reef Kitchen” and operate them. Their parent company is considered one of the largest parking operator in North America with over 4,500 locations throughout the United States, Puerto Rico and Canada and also has interest in Grubhub and DoorDash. These Reef Kitchens are a full restaurant style kitchens that have been converted to fit into the size of a trailer. The “Reef Kitchen” model has up to five brands sharing a delivery only kitchen. Customers will place their order via food delivery app such as UberEats, DoorDash, Postmates, and Grubhub and it will be directed to the REEF Kitchen where it will be accepted and prepared. After the order is ready one of the food delivery apps will come and collect and deliver the order to the guests. This concept was so successful in Miami, Florida and in London that they have decided to bring it over here. By bringing Reef Kitchens here not only will they attract more people to more convenient ways to get food but it would also bring in new brands to the delivery market in Orange County. Since they are trying to spread the Reef Kitchen throughout Orange County they are hoping that landlords will start to lease more parking spaces for these truck trailer kitchens.
