Today the Independent Restaurant Coalition are proud to share the biggest news to date: the RESTAURANTS Act — the bill they’ve been fighting for that will help save the industry — is included in the House’s revised HEROES Act. The months they’ve spent organizing, working together, and sounding the alarm have paid off. Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s support is a massive step forward. Now is the time to use this momentum to get legislation over the finish line.

The Independent Restaurant Coalition need your help to make sure the House passes the HEROES Act as quickly as possible. Here’s how you can take action this week:

Independent Restaurant Coalition Heroes Act

Congress: I urge you to pass the updated HEROES Act, which includes the RESTAURANTS Act, giving America’s 500,000 independent restaurants and bars a fighting chance to survive. Doing so will help #SaveRestaurants, put millions back to work, and uplift our communities.

The Independent Restaurant Coalition are so grateful to Speaker Pelosi for prioritizing independent restaurants and bars in this new proposal, and for the tireless leadership of RESTAURANTS Act sponsors Congressman Blumenauer (D-OR 3) and Congressman Fitzpatrick (R-PA 1), who have spearheaded efforts to pass this bill since June.

Many didn’t think it would get this far, but it is another step closer thanks to your efforts and belief that our united voices have the power to affect change. Together, we can work to ensure the House passes the revised HEROES Act and the Senate follows suit. Thank you for your ongoing support and for sticking with the Independent Restaurant Coalition in this fight.
