The inaugural Santa Monica Bloody Mary Battle, held on Sunday, June 28 at Del Frisco’s Grille, was a huge success, raising $2,451 for local Santa Monica charity, Swim with Heart. The winning bartender, Joe Matlock from Lago, chose the beneficiary and claimed the title of “2015 Best Bloody Mary in Santa Monica.” The event drew 300 thirsty Bloody Mary enthusiasts to taste the five competing Bloody Marys from local restaurants.
