The Nature Conservancy polled foodies in Los Angeles about their favorite sustainable restaurants. Restaurants that serve ingredients that fit some or all of the following criteria could be considered: organic, local, in-season foods, source sustainably managed seafood, or offer grass-fed and free-range meat options. Consumers responded with hundreds of nominations, ultimately crowning Andrei’s Conscious Cuisine Los Angeles’ Nature’s Plate People’s Choice Award winner. Andrei’s was named in memory of Andrei Olenicoff, the owner’s brother, and the restaurant embodies his very best traits ” his sense of adventure, his commitment to sustainability, and his openness to new friends, new ideas and new experiences according to the website.
