Bonefish Grill specializing in market fresh fish and other wood grilled specialties in a casually sophisticated setting recently made its California debut by raising nearly $13,000 to benefit the prevention and treatment of child abuse. The Tampa Bay, Florida-based company recently unveiled its first California location at The Market Place in Tustin, Calif., hosting a successful fundraiser for Olive Crest, a leading not-for-profit organization that has been helping abused, neglected and at-risk youth and their families in California and other states since 1973. The pre-opening benefit event held Saturday, November 16, as a prelude to the restaurant’s official grand opening was open to the public and featured a silent auction as well as sampling of signature appetizers, market fresh fish and wood-grilled specialties, with paid drink ticket choices including specialty martinis, bar-fresh cocktails, craft beers and select wines.
