The American Culinary Federation and the San Diego Bay Wine & Food Festival announced winners of the 2010 “Chef of the Fest” Competition with Chef Robert Ruiz of Harney Sushi taking top honors for the second year in a row.
The American Culinary Federation (ACF), a professional organization for chefs and cooks, judges the competition.San Diego Chapter President, Chef William Ramsey, headed the judging process with his expert team of ACF members, in addition to celebrity guest judges.
“This year’s competition saw an abundance of culinary talent, making it difficult for the panel of judges to narrow down the competition from the top 20 to the top 10, and the scores definitely reflected that.In many cases, the scoring was very close. In the end, it came down to taste, which weighed heavily on the final outcome,” said Chef William Ramsey.
