Huntington Beach Eatery Donates More Than $4K to Local Schools, Organizations

A local eatery located in Huntington Beach,Mama’s on 39, has donated $4,143.68 in the past five months to local schools and organizations through its “Give Back Evenings.” The restaurant donates back 30percentof the proceeds on any lunch or dinner order through the program. This “Give Back Evenings” campaign is meant to help boost school programs lagging in funds and is ideal for classes, sports, music and art programs, PTAs and more.

“Thanks so much for doing this for the Student Council!,” said Sts. Simon & Jude School Principal Crystal Smith, referring to the $606.12 Mama’s donated back to the school. “Your generous donation means a great deal to everyone here, and we are extremely appreciative of your kindness and willingness to always be supportive of our efforts. We look forward to working with you again in the near future.”

Along with Sts. Simon & Jude School, Mama’s on 39 has donated to the Huntington Christian School PTF; Moffett Elementary PTA; St. Bonaventure School PFA;Jr. Ducks Youth Ice Hockey; Edison High School’s Academic Booster Club; Huntington Beach Water Polo Club; Edison High School Ice Hockey; and Edison High School Field Hockey.

“I am a longtime resident and as a new restaurant business here in Huntington Beach, we are very supportive of all of our local schools,” said owner Pete Truxaw.”We know we can help raise much-needed school funds and our guests can enjoy a great meal as well.”
