WHAT: TAPS Fish House & Brewery in downtown Brea is partnering again with the Heart of Downtown Food Bank for the holidays. Guests who bring in a $20 or more gift card to Ralphs will receive a TAPS Sunday Brunch Extravaganza certificate worth $35. The Food Bank will use the cards to purchase meats and poultry, often in short supply at food banks.
FOOD BANK: The Heart of Downtown Food Bank is a ministry of Wilshire Avenue Community Church in downtown Fullerton. It is a non-profit organization that is supported by the church, individuals, and businesses throughout Orange County. It assists individuals and families in need from Fullerton and surrounding communities, regardless of race, age, disability, gender, immigration status, national origin or religious belief.
WHY: TAPS GM Brady Sherard has volunteered at the Food Bank and witnessed first-hand their good deeds. Last December TAPS gave out 225 brunch certificates, which enabled them to donate $4500 worth of Ralphs gift cards to the Food Bank.
