The Public House By Evans Brewing Company, which opened in the Downtown Fullerton SOCO District, is now expanding its offerings to serve brunch on the weekends.  Amanda Platt, executive chef of The Public House, has developed a brunch menu that pairs well with Evans Brewery’s impressive selection of beers and features several of the restaurant’s most popular dishes alongside new offerings. Brunch will be served on Saturdays and Sundays between the hours of 10AM-3PM.

Standouts on the menu include:

  • Mc Egg Sandwich with honey country ham, white cheddar, garlic aioli on a buttered pretzel bun
  • Seasonal Pancake Skillet with honey butter and warm maple syrup
  • Biscuits & Gravy with house-made biscuits, scrambled eggs and sausage gravy
  • Breakfast Burrito with scrambled eggs, monterey jack cheese, sweet potato tater tots, bacon, sausage & ham
  • Avocado Toast with tomato jam & a fried egg on Texas Toast
  • French Toast with seasonal berries
  • Fried Chicken Schnitzel Sandwich with arugula, manchego, charred cherry tomatoes and buttermilk ranch on a pretzel bun

The Public House is not only a neighborhood gem, but a destination for anyone who enjoys great food, beer, wine, cocktails and live music, which is offered throughout the week. All of the food at The Public House is made in-house, from the biscuits to the dill pickles. Chef Platt is excited to add brunch on the weekends, which caters to the demand of the neighborhood.

“Fullerton is a very brunch-oriented town. It’s nice to be able to go to a restaurant with a group of people and have numerous options. If someone wants pancakes they can, if some wants a burger it’s available, and if some just wants a creative Bloody Mary while they watch a sports game, then we have that too. We want to be able to cater to as many brunch fans as possible,” explains Chef Platt.

Since opening, the management team, father and son duo, Mike & Evan Rapport have been dedicated to making The Public House become an essential part of the community and plan to host fundraisers for local deserving charities monthly, moving forward. The Public House has already teamed up with notable charities such as, SOLFUL (Summer of Love Fullerton) summer school program & Fender Music Foundation who aims to raise money for music programs within Fullerton schools.
