A team of food and entertainment pros has transformed TV cooking competitions into a one-of-a-kind experience – it’s a major twist on fine dining as we know it.
Rival brings together two accomplished chefs at a time, whether local favorites or international celebrities, to create a side-by-side, multi-course tasting menu for you to savor. Vote for your favorites on our app based on presentation, creativity, and taste.
The guest chefs will adapt to on-the-spot challenges, and our Master of Ceremonies will narrate the competition. The drama unfolds as the clock ticks toward zero.
Overheard video cameras feed close-ups and behind the scenes footage to monitors around the arena. The app allows you to change the camera angles to follow the action that interests you most. You may even join our chefs center stage to help prepare a dish or serve diner.
Your favorite cooking show has been upgraded to a live event, and this Kickstarter project is the way we’re offering early access. Help bring Rival to life and come enjoy the gastronomical experience of a lifetime.
San Francisco is there flagship location and the Kickstarter rewards (tickets to the show) may be used at any Rival location and never expire.
Rival is a first of its kind. Chefs from the San Francisco Bay Area and from all over the world are slated to appear. For example, Louis Maldonado (Spoonbar in Healdsburg, CA) and Jason Cichonski (Ela in Philadelphia, PA) from the most recent season ofTop Chefwill compete at Rival.
Plus, chefs from Michelin 3 Star restaurant The French Laundry, Morimoto, and dozens of other elite restaurants will grace the stage. Even the executive chef of the New York Yankees players will compete!
