Best New Retail and Best New Foodservice Product in Seafood Honored at Seafood Expo North America
The 2015 Seafood Excellence Awards winners were announced at the Seafood Expo North America. Yihe Corporation won the “Best New Retail” award for its Alaskan Jack’s and High Liner Foods won the “Best New Foodservice” award for its Pulled BBQ Salmon.
Winners were selected from a group of finalists during a live judging by a panel of seafood buyers and experts from the retail and foodservice industries. This year’s judges included Kelly Werner, Schwan’s Home Service, Olivia Waszkiewicz, Sam’s Club and Jeff Meagher, Performance Foodservice.
Finalists were previously selected through a screening of products participating in the Seafood Expo North America New Product Showcase. The New Product Showcase features seafood products, condiments and culinary dishes launched in the past year by exhibiting companies.
