Reaffirming its enduring status as one of the region’s top luxury hotels for both business and leisure travelers, Island Hotel Newport Beach has been awarded a 2012 Five Diamond designation from the Automobile Association of America (AAA) for the 20th consecutive year.
A highly respected lodging and restaurant rating system, the AAA Five Diamond award acknowledges Island Hotel as one of North America’s most luxurious resorts. It is AAA’s top ranking and reserved exclusively for properties with the highest degree of service, consistent quality, ultra luxurious facilities and the very finest amenities.
To be considered for an AAA rating, properties must undergo a rigorous inspection and evaluation – less than one-half percent of the 31,000 AAA-approved properties attained Five Diamonds for 2012. In fact, Island Hotel is one of a handful of Five Diamond properties in Orange County to achieve this coveted status for 2012.
According to Richard Evanich, managing director of Island Hotel, the award is indicative of Island Hotel’s unwavering reputation as Orange County’s top business hotel, and also reflects the diligence of an exceptionally talented and dedicated staff. “We are truly honored to have received this designation for two decades,” he said. “Our recent renovation and upgrades, including beautifully refurbished meeting facilities, have furthered our reputation as Orange County’s premiere hotel for business travel. We set an exacting standard for excellence and owe our success to the hard work of our professional team.”
