The 2nd Annual Dine Out For Farms Week will take place October 16th through the 22nd in Washington, D.C.Mike Isabella, season six contestant of “Top Chef” and runner -up of “Top Chef all-Stars” will kick-off the event.
Participating restaurants will educate customers about the importance of farms while raising funds to protect farmland from development.During the event, sponsored by American Farmland Trust,restaurants from across the country will participate by donating a percentage of sales of a special dish or by making a straight donation.
The deadline to enroll in Dine Out for Farms is September 30, 2012.
