Parlour Enterprises, Inc., operators of Farrell’s Ice Cream Parlours, announced two new restaurant locations scheduled to open this fall. The first location to open in mid fall 2011, is located at 10742 Foothill Blvd in Rancho Cucamonga. The second Farrell’s location at 215 South Brea Blvd. in Downtown Brea, is expected to open in late fall.
Farrell’s Ice Cream Parlour in Rancho Cucamonga is situated along historic Route 66. The building is currently undergoing a makeover to give it the iconic Farrell’s Ice Cream Parlour look, but will also include subtle exterior and interior design elements to pay homage to Route 66 and the highway’s historic past. The building is 7,400 square feet and will seat 250 with a very large patio area to accommodate parties and large groups.
The Brea location adds a unique feature to Farrell’s a service window located along Birch Street, where guests can order Farrell’s sundaes and food. This location will be 6,300 square feet, seat 230 people and will be Farrell’s second Orange County location, with the other being at The Shops in Mission Viejo that opened in 2009.
“Both locations will boast the old time candy stores that Farrell’s fans remember and love as well as the classic food and special ice cream creations like The Zoo and Pig’s Tough, said Michael Fleming, CEO of Parlour Enterprises. “We have added some great new food and ice cream creations that are quickly becoming favorites and will be part of the new tradition, said Fleming.
Farrell’s is currently accepting applications to fill management positions for the Rancho Cucamonga and Brea locations and will begin hiring hourly staff for both locations starting late September and October. Each location will help boost local economy while creating 100 to 140 jobs per location.
