Restaurateur Bruno Serato and Anaheim Whitehouse Restaurant Staff to Receive Formal Blessing from Bishop Kevin Vann of the Diocese of Orange

WHAT:

May 5 at Noon, Orange County’s Catholic bishop, Kevin Vann, will be blessing humanitarian, restaurateur Sir Bruno Serato who has quadrupled his philanthropic food-giving operations despite the coronavirus shutting his restaurant down to the public.

Prior to the coronavirus, the Anaheim Whitehouse Restaurant owner dished up 1,000 pounds of pasta and red sauce every week, destined for various local Boys & Girls Clubs across the Southland and to families in need. Now that Serato’s restaurant has temporarily closed its doors, he has focused his efforts toward helping his community the best way he knows how: with delicious pasta!

Due to current demand, between 3,000 – 9,000 pounds of pasta and red sauce are now being cooked per week to feed between 70,000 to 100,000 children across 30 cities in Southern California – the most Serato has ever fed throughout his nonprofit’s 15-year long history, called “Caterina’s Club,” named after his mother.

More on Bruno: Restaurateur, philanthropist, and CNN Hero Sir Bruno Serato, owns the acclaimed Anaheim White House Restaurant and has earned international publicity and recognition for his humanitarian work. Serato has also been recognized by Pope Francis for his campaign to end world hunger, “The Power of Pasta” and recently addressed the United Nations with his message on the importance of corporate social responsibility-all in the name of one loving woman – Mamma Caterina!
