The American Culinary Federation (ACF) is putting on the “Be Like ‘Mike'” competition for ACF students and apprentices. The grand prize winner will win a chance to shadow ACF national president Michael Ty, CEC, AAC, at the 2010 ACF National Convention in Anaheim, CA. Airfare, accomodations, and full registration will be provided.
To enter, applicants must submit a photo, letter of recommendation from their department chair, and an essay describing how shadowing Ty during the national convention will help them achieve their goal of being a culinary leader in the future. Applications must be mailed to ACF, postmarked by May 28, 2010. The winner will be announced June 21, 2010. For more information and the full application, please visit
