BRUXIE Celebrates Its Birthday With Grand Charity Fundraiser

On Friday, November 8th, Bruxie celebrated its 3rd Birthday since the opening of its first location in Old Towne Orange. In honor of this milestone, Bruxie hosted a Birthday Fundraiser benefiting The Independence Fund, a nonprofit organization that provides veterans severely injured in the Line of Duty the mobility to experience the outdoors with the help of All-Terrain Wheelchairs. On that day, the public was invited to enjoy all things Bruxie ” from signature gourmet waffle sandwiches, to seasonal shakes and floats made with real Wisconsin frozen custard ” and Bruxie donated 10% of all sales from its locations in Old Towne Orange, Brea Downtown, Rancho Santa Margarita, Chino Hills, Huntington Beach and Irvine to The Independence Fund.

Chefs, Partners and Concept Creators, Dean Simon and Kelly Mullarney, opened their first Bruxie location in 2010 in Old Towne Orange, and a second location one year later on the Birch Street Promenade in Brea Downtown. Bruxie has since opened locations in Rancho Santa Margarita, The Shoppes at Chino Hills, The Strand at Huntington Beach and the Heritage Plaza Center in Irvine. They will open their 7th location in November 2013 on 17th Street in Costa Mesa.

In less than three years, Bruxie has gained international attention for its unique takes on authentic Belgian waffles, alongside salads, locally produced old-fashioned cane sugar sodas, real Wisconsin frozen custard, shakes, sundaes and floats. Bruxie proudly serves Peet’s Coffee & Tea products, and nothing on the menu exceeds $10.

All Bruxie locations, including the next in Irvine, feature indoor and outdoor seating. The menus offer Bruxie’s unique takes on authentic Belgian waffles, as well as salads, locally produced old-fashioned cane sugar sodas, real Wisconsin frozen custard, shakes, sundaes and floats.
